Discover Scuba Diving

 

Discover Scuba Diving is a program for those who have never tried scuba diving before, or who are not yet certified.

It is a short try-diving experience for adults and children aged 10+.

This course introduces you to the basics of scuba diving without certifying you as a diver.

 

The northern area, where our shop is located, is far from the urban area of the island. So the diving area and diving sites we cover differs from the areas the shops in the southern area (urban area) cover.

 

The northern area of Ishigaki Island is known for its beautiful coral and colorful tropical fishes. I’m sure you would want to see the beautiful ocean and gorgeous sea life when going on the diving tour so doesn’t it sound like a perfect choice?

1.Great visibility and “Ishigaki blue” ocean

The ocean of Ishigaki has a very beautiful blue color – “ishigaki blue”. The visibility is great with an average of 20m and sometimes up to 30m. Because we only have few diving shops in the northern area, compared to the diving sites near the urban area, we have fewer divers entering our diving sites. Therefore we have beautiful untouched underwater worlds, waiting for you to dive.

 

2. Beautiful underwater world and cute sea life

     

As there are only few diving shops in this area, not as many divers have stepped foot in our beautiful ocean.

Beautiful scenery of colorful tropical fishes and other sea life awaits you under the sea.

You might be able to meet the famous NEMO (clownfish) or if you are lucky a cute sea turtle might swim by during your diving tour!

 

 

3. A life changing experience

Our diving tours are all boat diving. The good thing about boat diving is that you do not have to walk long distances, carrying heavy equipment, to dive.

There are varieties of diving sites that we can go on discover scuba diving tours. We promise to take you to the best diving site where you can have the most fun that day.

Your day on the boat itself is an extraordinary experience!

Schedule

This is an example schedule of an usual day at S2 Club ☺

 

7:30~8:00　　We will pick you up at your hotel and head to our shop.

8:00~9:00　　Arrive at our shop located in the Ibaruma Area!! Fill out your application forms.

Your instructor will explain important points you want to remember when going on a diving tour.

9:00~9:30　　To our boat!! Get ready to dive!

9:30~10:30　  Enjoy your boat ride! After arriving at diving point, we will go on a warm-up snorkeling tour. (depending on the condition, we may skip snorkeling.)

11:00~15:30　  We usually go on all diving tours without returning to the port. After 1 diving tour, we will have lunch on our boat.

(If the sea condition is not suitable for lunch on the boat, we may go back to the port and have lunch)

(For guests going on 1 diving tour, lunch will not be served and will return to our shop around noon.)

Price

EVERYTHING you need to dive (including rental gears) is included in the price for Discover Scuba Diving programs!

☆ If you would like photos of your tour, please contact your instructor before leaving the shop. Your instructor can take pictures of you during the tour!!

If you wish to purchase the  photos, it is ¥2,000/day for all the photo data.

Cancel Policy

We require 2 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival date, otherwise we will charge you a cancellation fee as below.

3~ days prior to reservation	no cancel fee will be charged
2~1 day prior to reservation	50% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel 2~1 day prior to your scheduled arrival date.
scheduled arrival date	100% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel on your scheduled arrival date or No show.

※ No cancel fee will be charged if we cancel a tour or activity because of unfavourable weather or sea conditions.

Discover Scuba Diving is for adults and children aged 10+.

Please check the scuba medical questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving and will determine if you need to be evaluated by a physician before being able to scuba dive. If the doctor approves, or none of the conditions applied to you, you’re ready to start!
